A new Longyear Museum of Anthropology exhibit displays the work of more than 30 crafters from across campus and the community who have created “tempestries” to highlight the yearly temperature changes for significant dates in �����鱨վ’s history.

The Max A. Shacknai Center for Outreach, Volunteerism, and Education is celebrating a quarter century of student-led service at �����鱨վ as it continues to promote positive social change and contribute to the well-being of those on campus and surrounding communities through volunteerism.

The Picker Interdisciplinary Science Institute has announced this year’s awards supporting interdisciplinary research, training, and student-centered scholarship at �����鱨վ.

Students working together to make kimchi, sauerkraut, kombucha, tempeh, and sourdough learned how fermentation creates transformation through communities of bacteria and what humans can learn from food and from one another.

The elective designation, awarded by the American Council on Education and the Carnegie Foundation, recognizing the University’s continuing commitment to community engagement and partnerships.

The second year of the Tuck Business Bridge Program at �����鱨վ kicked off in early January with 40 students returning to campus. They participated in more than two weeks of intensive programming designed to prepare for internships and careers, while building connections among students, alumni, and top-ranked Tuck faculty.

The Lampert Scholars and Storing-Hou Director of the Lampert Institute for Civic and Global Affairs Chad Sparber traveled to Washington, D.C., in October to meet with alumni and policy experts, part of the institute’s mission to build a bridge between academic and applied work in a policy sphere.

Frey visited �����鱨վ and delivered a lecture, “Liberal Learning and the Idea of a University,” on Nov. 7 — part of a series of events in celebration of the Kraynak Institute for the Study of Freedom and Western Traditions. 

The project scales down the vast climate change conversation and builds community by representing temperature data in fiber art.

Two legal scholars addressed the issue of a Constitutional crisis within the United States during �����鱨վ’s annual Constitution Day Debate on Sept. 18, taking sides on whether such a crisis exists and answering questions from the audience gathered in �����鱨վ Memorial Chapel.
