The Office of Sustainability at ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ has launched an online sustainability dashboard that displays a series of metrics, including ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ’s greenhouse gas emissions, electricity and water usage, and composting efforts.

This tradition featured a diverse lineup of educational, thought-provoking, and fun events designed to highlight environmental challenges and inspire sustainable action.

ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ has been ranked fourth among baccalaureate institutions in the 2024 Sustainable Campus Index, retaining its gold status through AASHE’s STARS program.

As part of the 2024 cohort of Summer Field School Fellows, Mary Thomas Powell ’26 and Charlie Tourbaf ’25 are conducting hands-on environmental research.

A new study featuring Professor of Earth and Environmental Geosciences Amy Leventer has revealed the presence of canyons off Antarctica that serve as pathways for relatively warm ocean waters to move toward the continent.

ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ’s annual celebration of sustainability, the 13 Days of Green, kicked off on April 10 this year.

Guacamole dusted with crispy, crushed black ants. Nachos covered in cricket cheese sauce. Brownies flavored with mealworm powder. These were just a few of the entomological delicacies enjoyed by ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ students, faculty, and staff during a recent visit by Chef Joseph Yoon, the self-proclaimed edible insect ambassador and founder of Brooklyn Bugs.

ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ has been recognized as a top performer in the 2023 Sustainable Campus Index, securing the third position among baccalaureate institutions.

At the Office of Sustainability’s Free Store, students can take home a variety of goods, free of charge.
