At age 102, Charles Strobel ’33 still keeps his unwavering enthusiasm for ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ. When Raiders football played Furman this past weekend in Greenville, S.C., Strobel, one of ºÚÁÏÇ鱨վ’s oldest living alumni, was in the stands cheering on his alma mater.

The ALANA Cultural Center recently hosted its kick-off event for the semester, bringing music, food, and informational booths to the center for a fun afternoon. Adonal Foyle ’98, as highly regarded for his philanthropic efforts as for his shot-blocking skills on the basketball court, has decided to end his NBA playing career after 13 years. The 35-year-old center chose to retire after a right-knee injury often prevented him from practicing with the Orlando Magic during the 2009-10 season.
